Morning Bliss: Fruit of Faith _Pt. 2 Focal Scripture : Rom. 1:17; For therein, is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written. The just shall live by faith..                                      Read: Rom. 1:16–17 The righteous shall live by faith. Faith is the Fruit of The Spirit.  Authentic faith in our Creator is not a blind leap into the dark, but it is a committed trust in God based on His revelation of Himself in nature and in Scripture.  It is not an act of irrationality but a conviction grounded in the surety of the resurrection of Christ (1 Cor. 15) . Knowing that the Lord is trustworthy, faith holds firm to God even in the most difficult of circumstances, confident that He will never fail to keep His promises (Gen. 22:1–14). In sum, righteous people live by faith; their continuing trust in God demonstrates that...

Morning Bliss: Fruit of Faith_ Focal Scripture : Heb.11.1 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (NKJV).                                      Read: Hebrews 11:1-40 Faith as a fruit is the believer's weapon of warfare, it is one of the armors of God, and it shields us against the fiery dart of the wicked ( Eph.6.16) . There is no conquering of the enemy without faith.  We say that a prayerful Christian is a powerful Christian but a prayer made without faith is as not praying at all (James.1.6) . The only time circumstances changes by praying are only when the prayer is mixed with faith. The Scripture said without faith it is impossible to please God. Our prayers is been answered when we bear the fruit of faith. Like love, faith is also an action word. The actions you portray speak of your faith (James.2.20) . At certain times Jesus ...

Morning Bliss: Fruit Of Goodness  Focal Scripture : Math. 5:16; Let it shine for all; let your Good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father (NLT).                                      Read: Matthew 5:13-16 One of the fruits of the Spirit is goodness. So, what does this mean, and how can it be applied to our lives? Growing up, we were often told to “be good.” Maybe this looked like helping your mom with the household chores or getting good grades in school, but is far beyond that.  When we strive to be “good” only for our own benefit, it is not truly goodness that we possess. In Greek, the word goodness, “agathosune,” means “an uprightness of heart and life”  Peter, talks about the goodness of Jesus’ ministry in Acts 10:38: “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and heali...

Morning Bliss: Fruit of Gentleness  Focal Scripture : Phil. 4:5; Let Gentleness be seen in every relationship, for our Lord is ever near. (TPT).                                      Read: Philippians 4:5-8;  Galatians 5:22 Gentleness is defined in the dictionary as “the quality of being kind, tender, or mild-mannered.”  In terms of the fruit of the Spirit, the kind of gentleness we’re interested in involves showing humility and thankfulness towards God, as well as polite, restrained and compassionate behaviour towards everyone else.  If we think about gentleness is in terms of its opposites, we find that it is countered by a desire for revenge, a sense of self-importance, or the expression of anger.  Gentleness is a fruit  of the Spirit, but as a trait it is produced when a softened heart abides in Jesus.  It may be a gift, but true gentleness als...

Morning Bliss: Fruit of Forbearance_ Focal Scripture : The fruit of the Spirit is forbearance…” Galatians 5:22a                                      Read: Rom. 3:25 The Spirit’s fruit of forbearance is much more than patience. It is choosing not to retaliate when wronged. It’s extending terms to benefit another, instead of demanding a justifiable immediate payment. Forbearance is the long suffering the Lord has towards sinners who need Him. He knows that time away from Him eventually loses its luster and appeal. By faith we are able to model God’s great patience towards those who anger us, who deeply disappoint us. The Holy Spirit fills us with the fruit of forbearance so He can lengthen the fuse of our temper. The longer it takes for our temper to smolder under self-control, the more time we have to cool down. The Spirit’s forbearance releases our vengeance to the Lord. “Or do yo...

Morning Bliss: Fruit of Peace _ Focal Scripture : Gal. 5:22; But the fruit of the Spirit is love, Joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,                                         Read: John. 14:27 How can you be so peaceful in the midst of odd situations?”  I knew this “peace” wasn’t something I was producing by myself; it was a fruit that the Holy Spirit was producing in me.   My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid .” — John 14:27 The word “peace” comes from the Greek word eirene, the Greek equivalent for the Hebrew word shalom, which expresses the idea of wholeness, completeness, or tranquility in the soul that is unaffected by outward circumstances or pressures. When a person is dominated by eirene (“peace”), he has a calm, inner stability that results in the ability...

Morning Bliss: Fruit of Joy_ Focal Scripture : Gal. 5:22; But the fruit of the Spirit is love, Joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,                                              Read: John. 15:4-8 Jesus speaks of bearing fruit in John 15:5; without me ye can do nothing. This fruit is the product of the Holy Spirit, not our effort. The Greek word for “joy” is chara, derived from the word charis, which is the Greek word for grace. This is important to note, Chara (“Joy”) is produced by the charis (“Grace”) of God.  This means “joy” isn’t a human-based happiness that comes and goes. Rather, true “joy” is divine in origin, a fruit of the Spirit that is manifested particularly in hard times.  However, it’s important to understand that this divine joy isn’t on the same low level of mere happiness. Happiness is based on circumstantial plea...

Morning Bliss: Fruit of Love_ Focal Scripture : 1Corith.13:4; Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud,                    Read: 1Corith.13:4-8 Today, we’ll focus on love as one of the fruit the Spirit.  Love is a word we hear a lot. It’s a word we say a lot. I might say, “I love ice cream,” etc. Those are the feelings we have - affection for something. The word used for fruit in this verse is talking about our actions! (”Fruit” Greek: karpos - work, act, deed.) in 1Corinthians 13:4; Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not want what belongs to others. It does not brag. It is not proud.  These verses tell us many of the actions of love: Being kind, not being rude, not bragging, protecting, and trusting are things we can do. Remember, love is one of God’s characteristics, God is love (1 John 4:8) . These verses tell us what God is like! God is patient and kind...(go through ...

Morning Bliss: Attributes of the Holy Spirit_ Focal Scripture :  Gal. 5:22; But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith.                    Read: Gal. 5:22-26 The Holy Spirit produces behavior traits that are representative of Jesus. The apostle Paul referred to these attributes as the fruit of the Spirit. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control” (Galatians 5:22; But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith  , What really stands out to me is that these characteristics are a true work of the Spirit, not of our flesh.  We can’t just work them up with our own will power; it takes the grace of God.  But as we continually surrender to the Spirit, these are the characteristics we can expect to see in our lives.  Christ said we are know...

Morning Bliss: The Holy Spirit_  Focal Scripture : Luke.3.22; And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, "You are My beloved Son; in You, I am well pleased." [NKJV].                    Read: Luke.3:21-23 The Holy Spirit in other words called the Holy Ghost is of the three personalities in the trinity which are God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, simply put three in one God.  What you should bear in mind is that the Holy Spirit is a person like God the Father, and the Son as mentioned earlier.  God the Father represents God's authority and judgment, the Son represents His word while the Holy speaks of His power.  In the old testament, the Holy Spirit comes to earth under special circumstances; His stay with the Children of Men was temporal, this is what I tag visitation, so he was like a visitor to the people at the time....

Morning Bliss: Je sus family by His Word!  Focal Scripture : Luke 8:21; My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it..                    Read: Luke 8:19-21 Here Jesus describes his spiritual family members. Many today, and through the centuries since Jesus spoke these words, have claimed affiliation with him.  Not those who gather large crowds in my name, or gain political clout by my name, or salve their guilty consciences with my name are mine, says Jesus, but those who hear and obey God's Word. Those who have a true and permanent relationship with me are those who are receptive to God's Word. What a high view of Scripture Jesus had! Even in the presence of his biological mother and siblings, Jesus starkly reminds us that a true connection to Christ is not made or maintained through family affiliation. For the definition of his disciples Jesus purposefully chose the rock-solid, uncha...

Morning Bliss :  The Word like Fire_ Focal Scripture : Jeremiah 23:29; Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?.                     Read: Jeremiah 23:29; What is needed for the cold spirit and the hard heart? A consuming fire and a hard-hitting hammer. And that is exactly what God says that his Word is. Perhaps you have experienced the warming radiance and the resistance-shattering power of God's Word. When it is preached, when it is read, when it is sung it is nothing less than the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes. Recognizing this kinetic energy that is contained in the pages of God's Word, do you take full advantage of this spiritual weapon? Do you strap it on before every battle? Do you ignite your heart with it daily? Do you read it to your children? Do you share it with your friends? Is it your answer to life's problems, your retreat w...

Morning Bliss:  The Word is pure_ Focal Scripture : Proverbs 30:5; Every word of God is pure."          Read: Prov. 30:4-7; Psalm 18:30 When you watch a play, read books, take in a movie, or even converse with friends, you must have the filter on. Is this worldview right? Are these ideas true? Is this lesson correct? Is the moral of this story actually moral? But when we come to the Word of God, all the filters must come off. The reason why is that, there is no filter -- our own ideals, the best philosophies, the most scientific theories -- that is as pure as the Word of God itself. If we filter the words of God through our own understanding, then we contaminate, rather than purify, the ideas which are conveyed. Every word of God is pure. There is not a drop of foolishness in the ocean of God's revelation. There is not a single falsehood within the many pages of the Bible. Every word of God is trustworthy because every word of God is true. How...

Morning Bliss:  The Word "Sword of the Spirit"_ Focal Scripture : Eph. 6:17; And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God."[AMPC],."                    Read: Ephesians. 6:11-17 Notice that the Bible, God's Word, is called the sword "of the Spirit." Not only is it a weapon, but it is a weapon forged by God himself. This is why God's Word is so powerful. Satan only retreats before the Almighty; he has never yet successfully advanced against the point of this sword. The devil is no match for the truth of God. His only hope is to convince you to lower your weapon. But have you experienced its power to deliver from sin -- worry, fear, envy, lust? Although our fallen minds can rationalize any sin, the Word of God cuts through our excuses without bending and delivers us from sin's deceit and destruction. And the Bible not only fends off attack, it delivers blows. God's Word co...
